Spring Cleaning

I have the spring cleaning bug today. Must be from being at my sister's house where it was over 70F one day and always above 40. Because it is well below zero today with the high only getting to 10F. Blah.

But my house is getting clean. I dusted and scrubbed and de-cluttered.

I have a new technique for cleaning up the clutter. I take EVERYTHING that is not where it belongs that I have collected from the entire house and put it all on the dining room table. The kids then are responsible for clearing it all off. Whatever they leave behind I throw away. So far they have not left anything on the table. :)

And the house looks so much better. Now I just need to work on organization. We need some places to put things.

Slave Woman

The dishwasher is running. The large dishes have all been washed, dried, and put away.

The washer and dryer are both running and laundry is getting washed.

The frosting I needed to make for today's gingerbread activity is made and sitting on the clean counters.

The floors have all been swept and vacuumed.

Jack has been fed, washed, dressed and is playing happily.

So I sit down on the couch to get in a little email time. Jack decides he wants to sit next to me so he climbs up on the couch.

And the smell hits me. Damn! How can he possibly need changed 5 minutes after I JUST changed him?

And this is not a chore you can ignore like you can the dryer's buzzer. Especially when he is sitting right next to you.
