This morning was Breakfast with the Preschoolers so Billy and Mr. Bill and I all got to go to school with Cass and eat. They had an astronauts breakfast so everything was prepackaged (a cake donut, a fruit rollup, and milk with a straw) Yum! NOT!
Cassie was very clingy while we were there but she seemed to enjoy us being there. She had drawn a picture of me and one of her dad for us to take home. Under my picture they wrote a poem. Here is what she had to say about me: (The red words are where she filled in the blanks)

Did you know...
apparently blogger has a pop up comment window like haloscan. Now whether it is as easy to use....... I don't know. I found it on another gals blog and it popped right up, no slowwwwwww down time like I had. You just have to go edit the settings for comments on your blog. Maybe I should try it? Or maybe not? Hmmmmm.
Mr. Bill announced to us all this morning as he was sitting on the toilet, "I am potty training in here ya' know!" LOL What brought this on, you ask? I have no clue! LOL

Looking
I feel lately in my life as if I am looking for something, or I SHOULD be looking for something.
It is not a material thing but rather a trait, characteristic, event, etc. Something that identifies me, fulfills me, teaches me, encourages me, advances me. I feel like a lost person searching out the end but I don't know what the end is.
I spent my entire youth focused on one goal or another. First it was to graduate high school, then go to college, then graduate college, start a family, get a job. Now what. I have the family, I have the job (albeit a non-paying one), the degrees, and the life.
Why do I feel like I am missing something?
Where do I go from here?
Is this what they call a mid-life crisis?

Bad Mood...
Today is Wednesday! Happy Hump Day to you all!
Yesterday I ended up going outside to play in our beautiful weather. It was 60F at 5 p.m. It doesn't get any better than that! The kids played and I dug out the rake and began piling up the nasty bean pod things that fall from the trees in our side yard. I am not sure what kind of tree they are. They drop these large (6 in - 15 in) pods usually after the first frost (i.e. after we have already raked up all the leaves) so we usually clean them up in the spring. Well yesterday I decided to offer the girls .10 for each one they picked up. I figured it would be easier than raking and plus the trees line our property line so many of the obnoxious pods fall into our neighbors yard. These pods are death for a lawnmower so I try to get them picked up before he gets out his lawnmower. Anyhoo, the girls all got excited and began picking up the pods. Megan, Cassie, and Marea each made about 5.00 before they got bored and went back to playing. Becca, on the other hand, was motivated. She wanted money. She picked up over 50 pods and was still going when I finally called it quits. I think she made about 20 bucks. Whew!
At 6:30 I went in and made dinner. Since Mr. Bill isn't quite old enough to be outside by himself I brought him in with me. As you can imagine he was NOT happy about that. He layed on the floor in the entryway (that is still unfinished) and screamed and tantrumed for a good half hour. I grabbed the phone and told him to call his daddy and scream at him because if his daddy would come home at a decent hour then he would be here and Mr. Bill would not have to be in the house with me. He cried into the phone and then I took it and talked to Billy. I let him know in no uncertain terms how irritated I was that he cannot come home on time and how it is affecting his kids and his family. I asked him if it was worth getting a project done at work to not see his kids. I asked him what he would have to show when his kids graduated high school, a bunch of finished projects or good kids he had hand a hand in raising. He showed up in the middle of dinner 45 minutes later. We got the kids to bed about a half an hour late at 8:30 and then he got on the phone. He called Bob (who was released today), bob's sister, bob's friend, and finally his sister. I gave up on him at 9:30 and headed off to bed with Mr. Bill. He climbed into bed about 10 p.m. Yep, that sure was some great quality time with your family honey! Urrrrrr! Will he ever learn? Dr. Phil, check your email!
This morning I dropped Cassie off at preschool again. Everyday the kids come in and are supposed to wash their hands and then go to the lunchroom for breakfast. At the beginning of the year a teacher would walk them to the bathroom and help them wash and then walk them to the lunchroom. Since about December no teacher has been helping the kids and I was rather irritated because I don't think 20 3 and 4 year olds (both genders) should be unsupervised in a bathroom. I mentioned it to the head teacher at conference time and she said she would speak to the aides who were in charge at breakfast. Nothing has changed. I decided since I don't have to rush home that I would stay and help Cassie wash her hands and make sure she gets back to the lunchroom safely. I have been doing this for a couple of months now. Today I watched the kids filter in as I stood beside Cassie at the sink. Several of the boys turned on the water and stuck their hands under for a maximum of 2 seconds and then they grabbed a towel and left. They actually left the water running! A few more kids came in and several older kids came in to use the bathroom. All the while NO teachers came in. I walked Cassie to the lunchroom and over to their table. There were both aides sitting at the table chatting while the kids ran wild through the school and in the bathroom. It just isn't right!
On a positive note, yesterday while I was outside I noticed my tulips and daffodils are coming up! I can't wait for the color and flowers and the sheer anticipation of summer. Almost time to start gardening! Yahoooooo!

Strep anyone?
Oh yeah, we had a happy sugar-induced easter. The kids were up at 7 a.m. staring at Billy and I who had defiantely pulled the covers over our heads. We got up anyway and the kids searched for their baskets that the Easter bunny had hidden. :)
Megan, however, was complaining all day Saturday that her throat hurt. By Sunday morning it was obvious she had strep again. She didn't eat any of her candy. She spent Easter on the couch watching everyone else eat their candy. The poor thing. By evening we had her well drugged and feeling better so we dug our bikes out of the garage and went for a bike ride. I love spring time!
So today, I rushed Megan into the doctors office and got her some antibiotics. My kind doctor checked out the rest of us too and we were all okay. He gave me some refills anyway just in case. I love our doctor! :)
We played at the park after we left the pharmacy cause it is 65F here today! Woooohoooo! The kids had a blast and are all now decompressing from the morning. The robins are hopping around my yard eating worms and I couldn't be happier. Soon spring will be here and summer is close on it's tail! Yahhooooooooo!

At a loss...
Billy took off this morning to see Bob, who has been transferred to a mental clinic for an evalutation. On a last minute whim he decided to take Mr. Bill with him. I am sort of at a loss without him underfoot all day. I miss the cuddling and loving but definitely am enjoying not having to stay on my toes all day to make sure he isn't in to something.
The girls and I spent the morning coloring eggs. They are all done and quite bright. The easter bunny will be proud! :)

My cheeks hurt soooo bad!
Mr. Bill: "Mom, I am so sirsty."
Me: "You are?"
Mr. Bill: "Yes, I am."
Me: "Okay."
(The t.v. catches Mr. Bill's attention and he goes back to the living room so I go back to reading blogs.)
A few minutes later he is back.
Mr. Bill: "Mom, I am so sirsty and hungry too."
Me: "We will have dinner in a little while."
Mr. Bill: "Mom, I am soooooo sirsty and hungry and tired too."
Me: "Really."
Mr. Bill: "Yup!"
(He leaves to go watch t.v. again.)
It took everything I had to not laugh as he informed me he was sirsty. Then he came back with sirsty and hungry. I really lost it when he told me he was sirsty, hungry, AND tired. How could a two year olds life be sooooo difficult?

Waiting...
Sitting.....
Waiting.....
Damn plumber, where are YOU!?
Our main sewer line backed up on Wednesday but since it is connected to a septic tank the plumber recommend we have it pumped first to see if that was the problem. We already knew it wasn't but humored him anyway. The nice septic guy came last night and pumped the tank. Still no water flow. So I called the plumber at 8 a.m. and he said they would be here this morning. Well it is now 2:00 and I am STILL waiting!
I can't run any water or flush the toilet and I am about to pass out from the smell. Oooooh, the smell! Maybe Andrea can share her banana split scented makeup for the day! ;)
THE FUN HAS ARRIVED.... and gone again.
UPDATE: The plumber came (at 3:30) and went and I now have a fully functional, flowing house again. It is amazing how much we take toilets for granted, until we don't have them anymore. I am probably out 100.00 or so bucks but at least we have a nice smelling house again. And he suggested (i.e. pretty much commanded us) to have the main line outside replaced as soon as the ground thaws this spring. Anyone have a shovel and a few extra days coming up? It is only 10-15 feet long and about 4 feet deep? Anyone? Huh? huh.....

Married Bliss

Sometimes flipping through your old photo's brings back those happy gushy feelings.
We are rapidly approaching our 12th anniversary (June 26). I cannot believe it has been 12 years. They have just flown by. This picture was taken right after we said I do. We were walking out of the park and Billy was getting in the van. My dad was driving us to the reception. We look soooo young in this picture. (Okay well, we were young. I was 18 and he was 17, not even legal yet!) This picture makes my heart do a backflip. I remember the passion, the love, the pure surge of emotion every time I saw Billy. We really have something great together.

More Booby talk....
Swimsuit shopping......
Need I say more? ;)
Two years ago I bought a tankini and boy shorts at Target and was quite happy with them except for one thing. My boobs need support (aka lift) and these "shelf bras" they put in swimsuits don't cut it. It doesn't help that I lost some weight since I bought the suit and the top is a little too big. So I have been on the lookout for a new tankini to go with the boyshort bottoms I have. I have looked at every store available to me and have found nothing with anything more than a shelf-bra.
Today I got a catalog in the mail from Carabella. I opened it and saw thousands of swimsuits (and they even have some with tummy control! ROCK ON Carabella!) So anyhoo, I looked through the catalog searching for a tankini top with something more for support. Would you believe on page 28 I found it?! I did!![]()
It is a black tankini that also comes in Parea Pink, Bright Turquoise, Butter (mmmm), and Plum. The description says,
"Tankini top with princess seams (definitely a plus, makes me look skinnier),
hidden, floating underwired cups with push-up pads for super lift and support. (I know, here we go again with the pushing up and this has SUPER lift but I will take it so long as it comes with the support it promises.)
Adjustable halter strap.
Nylon-spandex.
USA Sizes 6-16.
On sale for $29.95. (A little steep I know but for a swimsuit top that makes me look and feel good, I will pay it!)

Depression
That will teach me to try and make light of a serious situation. Update on Bob: I guess being there for him wasn't enough either. He tried to commit suicide last night after he left our house. We just found out. He is in the hospital but I am not sure in what condition. Please say a prayer or two for him. OY!
Yesterday our friend Bob (who is beginning to feel more like Billy's friend, more on that in a minute) came over at 9 a.m. We were in the midst of redoing the plumbing and had not showered. I was rather irked that he just showed up but what can you do. Billy finished installing the cold water line while Bob sat on the couch and watched the incredibles and I did some cleaning. Bob fell asleep sometime during the incredibles and so Billy and I and the kids played a game. Once Bob woke up, he started complaining about his life. Without giving too much detail let me just say Bob recently came home from Iraq after being over there for 18 months and his wife of 6 months divorced him shortly after he got home. He received a head injury in January while driving a four-wheeler. I am not sure if it was one of these or a combination thereof but since the head injury he has been horrid to be around. He complains about his life, won't participate in games, whines about his heartache at every possible moment, and basically drags everyone around him down. He wouldn't even play with the kids, which is very unusual for him.
At one point, I went up and took a nap with Mr. Bill because I really didn't have anything else to do. As I was coming down the stairs, when I woke up, I heard Bob complaining to Billy. As he realized I was in the room he instantly stopped talking (you know that awkward silence that occurs when someone is talking about you as you enter the room?) I went into the office and started working on my webpage. He obviously thought I couldn't hear him then or he couldn't resist the urge to whine some more because he started complaining to Billy again. Then Bob took Billy for a ride so he complain to him alone, without me around. I am not sure where this sudden desire to be away from me came from, but whatever! When Bob and Billy got back, Bob took another nap on the couch. I made dinner and after the kids had eaten and left the table, Bob started again. Finally at 8 he decided he would go home.
I feel very bad for Bob but obviously we are not being much help. I told Billy we seem to attract emotionally weak people for friends and I am not sure why. I recently stopped reading a blog here online because all the author talked about was how his/her life sucked and he/she couldn't do anything right. We also have a neighbor who sort of befriended us and has the same attitude. It is very hard for me to be around these kinds of people because it has a tendency to bring me down too and I don't want to go there.
I have always had a strong and happy personality and I like myself that way. I would like to think I could help these individuals in my life but in reality I know that I cannot. So why do they insist on using us as a listening ear? Perhaps I should mention blogger to them too eh?

Holy Boobies Batman!
I treated myself to some new bras on Thursday when we were in SooFoo. For some reason I am down to one bra. I think the washer eats them! So I stopped at Target and picked up two new not-the-mommy bras. They aren't Victoria Secret by any means but they are much sexier than maternity bras. Anyway, yesterday I wore the white one with blue flowers embroidered on it. Very pretty and comfortable all day. Then this morning I put on the black one. HOLY BOOBIES BATMAN! It is a push-up bra, which I knew upon purchase, but thought I would give it a try anyway. Now I am normally not all that well endowed. I fit a B cup fairly nicely but thought a little lift wouldn't hurt. Well they are lifted alright, lifted right into my face! I swear there is not that much boob in there. Most of it is padding, more padding than my mattress has! I feel like I need to put a danger zone in front of me to keep people out of the way of these projectiles!
Watch out Kids! Boobs, um Mom, coming through!

The Silent Treatment...
Last night in the middle of the second viewing of "The Incredibles" I decided it was Mr. Bill's bedtime. I told him he could finish watching it in the morning. For those of you who have a two year old, you know this didn't go over well. He kicked and screamed and threw a fit all the way up the stairs. I laid him down and attempted to put his blankets on his wildly kicking legs. I finally gave up and blew him a kiss. As I left the room, he screamed even louder. Billy and I sat downstairs for about 30 minutes after I put Mr. Bill to bed before we decided we were tired too and so we went up to bed. Mr. Bill sat up in his bed and turned his back to me. He wouldn't look at me or talk to me.
"Do you want covers?" No response. "Can I have kisses?" No response. "Are you not tired?" No response. "I love you Mr. Bill." No response. "Good night." No response.
He fell asleep about 30 minutes later, not having said a word to me the entire time.

Home again, Home again, jiggity jig...
We had a blast today, which I will post about later as I am too tired from the fun.
The kids and dad are watching our newly purchased copy of "The Incredibles" and I am at the computer avoiding the t.v. (I know, I am such a movie hater. It can't be helped.)
Some of my favorite mispronunciations by Mr. Bill:
comtar-guitar
colcano-volcano
rubbie ducky-rubber duck
bananananana- banana
the elephant movie-"Ice Age"
pahstetti-spaghetti (does any kid say this correctly before age 10?)

What would be the first thing you bought if you won the lottery?

How about you?

Call and you will be happy...
Today I got my Homeowner's insurance policy renewal papers. I about keeled over when I saw how much our premium had gone up. Almost 400.00 since last year. I quickly got online and requested quotes from other companies. They were all coming in around 1100.00 dollars, still 500.00 less than what I had sitting in front of me. After hemming and hawing about it I decided to call our compnay. I told her that I had gotten some quotes from the other companies and that they were all considerably lower than what they had sent me. She seemed suddenly defensive so in the nicest voice I have I asked the gal if our credit had been pulled before the policy was reissued as I had just fixed several items on our credit. She said no and would check it out. She put me on hold and came back.
The problem apparently wasn't so much our credit but that our firestation has no information in their database and they didn't know what kind of service we had. Well neither did I. And upon looking in the phone book for a phone number to contact the fire department, all I could find was 911. Not really what I was looking for. She put me on hold again and came back. She asked me if we had updated our furnace. I said "yup, in 10-2004" (okay so I keep a list, but you see why now don't you? ;) So anyway, there was silence on her end for quite awhile when she said, "Okay, your credit was better and I have been able to move you up into a better class so your premium will now be almost 600.00 less than we originally sent you. If she could have only seen the grin on my face.
Our bill went from 1600.00 annually to just over 1000.00 annually.
I couldn't be happier. It never hurts to call.

Stupid, STUPID Blogger
See me KICKING blogger in the arse!? Hopefully this post will go through because I am NOT typing it again! (On the second try I did cut and paste, this had better GO NOW!)
This weekend has been a pretty uneventful one despite a few moments. Friday the girls didn't have school so I had a houseful all day. It did not start out well as the girls were at each other from the moment they woke. I assumed it was readjusting to have to actually interact with their siblings. OY! I finally got them straightened out with the threat of some serious housecleaning if they couldn't get along. They spent a good five hours upstairs playing with their toys after that.
I spent the day picking up after five kids. It is amazing how much faster they can trash the house when they are home all day. Did I also mention how much I enjoy cooking for 6 people ALL day? NOT! And the garbage, oh the garbage! I emptied the kitchen garbage THREE times on Friday. Where does it all come from?
Saturday I decided it was time to get myself to the doctor. I hate going and this was an ummmm 'personal' issue that I REALLY hate going to the doctor for. I thought about two weeks ago I had a yeast infection but after treatment it did not go away so I had assumed it was a bacterial infection (I had one when pregnant with Mr. Bill). I got to the doctors office and signed in. After about 20 minutes in the waiting room I was put in an exam room. The nurse gave me the dreaded 'gown' (the piece of paper they give you to cover your lower half that would otherwise be exposed for all to see). I sat on the exam table half-naked for a good 15 minutes before a male doctor walked in. He looked at my lap and quickly opened my chart. "You are here for a.....yeast infection....?" He looked at the door and then looked back at me. "I have a female doctor working with me today. I will have her come in and do you and I will take the kid across the hall." Before I could even say anything he was out the door. I heard him yell in the hall, "This one's for Amy!"
I was never so embarrassed in my life. I have had a zillion (yes a zillion) pap smears and 99% of them were done by male doctors. Do I really care? No, I just wanted to get some medicine and get the hell out of there. He really should have read the chart in the hallway and saved us both his embarrassment. The female doctor finally came in 15 minutes later when I was near tears. I was beginning to think they would forget I was there. Leaving a newly embarassed girl sitting half naked is not a very good bedside manner if you ask me. I explained to her what was going on and after the pap, which took .02 seconds and peeing in a cup she declared all was fine. She chalked it up to the fact that I just started back on bcp. She said to wait three months and if it doesn't get better to come back. Okay so excuse me while I itch for the next three months. Blah!
Billy will be getting snipped when we get our income tax return next year like it or not! I have had all I can take of these damn pills.
Today promises to be a better day. I did some online shopping (yay!) and will try to get a little housecleaning done. The remodel efforts are going slow here as we are waiting for Billy to get the plumbing in. It is such a tedious job and one that I am not willing to tackle, woman or not. So I sit and wait. Hopefully it will all be done by next weekend. Stay tuned. :)

Alternative Music
My husband, had he been born in a former life as an outgoing person, would have no doubt been a singer. Not a wildly famous Kenney Chesney (although he is just as sexy) but more along the lines of Weird Al or Cletus T.
He sings. And he has an amazing voice. I love to hear him singing in the car when he thinks no one can hear him over the music. It makes my heart do that flippy-flop thing. But he has this unique sense of humor that leaks into every crevice of his life. When he sings, he often sings "alternative" words that would very easily fit into the song if you didn't know how it already was sung. Many of those lyrics involve female body parts or female and male body parts engaged in some kind of act. It always cracks me up and he knows he is funny but I have found a serious down side to this alternative music.
I have begun to sing the 'alternative' lyrics in place of the original ones. It is not good when you are in the presence of others and you begin to sing about sex where sex was not the topic to begin with. The laughter can drown the music and turn my cheeks red.

Ramblings of a Sea Cucumber
I called my mom last night to let her know my sis got married. She lives in the same town but was not invited for various reasons. Mostly because my sister is angry. My mom was disappointed, I could hear it in her voice. I felt bad that my siblings push her so far away but you can only take so much and I understand that. That is why I live all the way on the other side of the state! :)
I have a "job interview" in April for my new job. I have to go to the town meeting and explain the webpage and answer questions. I am planning to get some sample webpages for them to see and some ideas on places to host a webpage. If you all know of a good site, let me know.
My mother-in-law stopped by on Sunday. She called and told us she was coming so it wasn't a total surprise. She has never come to see us for no reason since we have been married (that is 11 years!). It sort of put me on edge because we all know she has cancer and has been really sick. It just sort of makes you wonder, you know? I hope all is as good as can be with her right now.
I have three scrapbooks in the works right now. One was supposed to be a Christmas present but well, it didn't get done obviously. I have one that needs to be done by the end of March and the other is for Billy to take to work so it doesn't really have a timeline. I bought some predesigned books at Target and now I am making pages of our kids through the years. I made one for my dad for Christmas and everyone liked it so well that I have had requests for more. LOL I knew I had cute kids! :)
Did you all know I lived in Hawaii for about 1.5 years when I was a kid? I have been thinking about it a lot lately (especially with this cold weather coming in again). I remember so vividly walking across the highway to the ocean and swimming in the water. The very first time we went in the ocean my sister stepped on something squishy. She bent over and pulled it out of the water. It resembled a very rotten banana. My mom freaked when she saw what my sister was holding and made us get out. For several weeks after that we were not allowed back into the water. Then one day someone told my mom that it was just a sea cucumber and not to worry. After that we would deliberately find the slippery things and pick them up. Once my brother picked one up and realized he could squeeze it and it would shoot water out one end (mouth or anus? I have no idea.) We quickly each found one and a sea cucumber water fight commenced. This game became good entertainment for many weeks after that, much to my mom's dismay.

On second thought....
To those of you who are complaining about my blog, KEEP COMPLAINING, to everyone who will listen.
Then they will come to see what the hype is all about and will get hooked and will become a regular reader and someday maybe I will have 500 comments a day too!
Ahhhhh JUSTICE!

My Sister!
My baby sister just called and told me she got married today!
What a little butt! She did it at her place of work, Pamida (think small town Walmart)! How funny is she. Welcome to the wonderful world of marriage Vonnie and Shannon!
We love you!
She said pictures are coming soon! I can't wait! LOL

I survived...
As you can see we all came home from the Girl Scout trip in one piece and I even had fun the entire night!
Me! Just off the slide!
We checked in to the hotel around 4:30 and we hit the pool immediately. The girls jumped right in. They swam for an hour and then we went back to our room and ordered pizza for dinner. The pizza and Billy arrived at the same time. Since I have two girl scouts who are daisy's(kindergarten age girl scouts) this year I decided to have them come and spend the evening swimming with us but to leave at the night's end. Billy volunteered to bring them. He showed up and everyone ate pizza and got back into the pool. We swam until about 9 p.m. when the girls had finally had their fill of pool water. Billy took the other girls home and went home himself. Mr. Bill screamed the entire way home as he wanted HIS MOMMY! I felt bad for the both of them. We went back to our hotel room and watched t.v. and snacked until 11 p.m. when I called lights out. The girls were all asleep relatively quickly. Megan's head hit the pillow and she was out cold. It is amazing what 5 hours of swimming does to their energy level. :)
Megan in the pool!
I woke up at 7:15 the next morning feeling bright eyed. I jumped in the shower and then got the girls up. After a yummy breakfast compliments of the hotel we all headed back to the pool. This time the girls had an hour of swimming and were quite done. The pool was much more crowded too so I think that had some influence. We decided to check-out and head to the mall. The girls each picked out one item under $5 at Claire's and then we headed home. I dropped the other girls off and arrived home shortly before noon.
All-in-all it was a fun overnighter. One I am sure the girls won't forget soon. :)

Clinton's Memoirs
If a book company offered you money to publish your life story, complete with details, would you do it?
Of course you would, you know you would sooo do it.
So why is blogger any different?
What I choose to write here is just that, my choice. I personally find blogs that read like, "D went to school today and J sat on him after he got home" incredibly boring and hard to follow. I want to know the dirt, the tics, the details, the history of people when I read a blog. It makes it so much more fun and keeps me coming back. (For example, read dooce. Why do you think she has 500+ comments a day?)
I never started this blog to be an impersonal record of what I do everyday. If I typed that I never would have found any readers. I mean really who wants to read:
Got up, got dressed, took kids to school, ate breakfast, blah, blah, blah, blah!
I started this journal for personal growth and as a means for my extended family to keep in touch. My kids don't see their grandparents more than twice a year and I wanted them to have a way to feel close to my kids in between visits. Although I only think one grandpa even reads this. But hey, I like writing and I have made some great FRIENDS through this blog.
So for those of you who read and find offense here, STOP READING! I didn't buy Clinton's book because, despite the great guy he is, I didn't care about the details of his life. So likewise, if you don't like reading about my life, don't. I am sure God is not going to quiz you about the contents of it come Judgement Day. You are safe.

Mommy brain in action!
Is is really Monday and someone is lying to me?
This morning I got up to exercise and Mr. Bill for whatever reason got up shortly thereafter and would not let me put him down. So I sat and watched some t.v. instead of exercising. He fell back asleep so I layed him down and hit the shower. After I was ready, I got the girls up and dressed. Marea had been up all night throwing up so I didn't expect her to get up but she did and said she felt fine. I decided to let her go to school. All morning as they were getting ready I kept thinking there was some reason Marea wasn't supposed to go to school but I chalked it up to the fact that she had been up all night sick. I dropped them off at school and drove away. As I pulled into our driveway 12 miles later, I realized my mistake. The kindergarten screening is today and so Marea DOES NOT have school! I quickly called the office to let them know I realized my mistake and would be there shortly. I arrived at the school 10 minutes later and found her sitting with a lunchroom aide and several other kindergarterners. They were playing cards and waiting for parents too. OY! At least I wasn't the only one but I still feel really S-T-U-P-I-D today!
I have a girl scout sleepover tonight. We will be staying at a motel with a waterpark so the girls can swim and eat pizza. Fun! It is times like this that I wish I had a troop aide so that I didn't have to go by myself. Oh well, it is for the girls!
Gotta run now! I have fifty million things to do today. Cassie is going to the kindergarten screening so she can go next year. I can't believe I will have all four girls in school full time! Yikes!

Job
I have a job! A real life true job! I will be designing the web page for my small town. I suggested it to a board member about a month ago and she asked about it at the meeting. Everyone thought it was a good idea! So now I am a working-stay-at-home mom! LOL I have to get a design done so they can get some idea of where I am going with it so I may never leave the computer again.
Did I mention Mr. Bill hurt his foot and I had to run him to the doctor yesterday? Yes, I did? Oh well, you can ignore it then. The little bugger was up and running like nothing was amiss by last night! I almost wonder if he hadn't thrown something out of whack because after the doctor messed with his foot his limp was much less. I think she inadvertantly popped it back into place. He was back to jumping on the couch, running, and generally tormenting his sisters by bedtime last night.
The girls and I had a little "talk" on the way to school today. Lately they have been at each other's throats and are very unwilling to help each other out. It is really starting to get to me so today I told them it is their JOB to help their sisters. I told them that family is more important than anything in the world and we need to be there for each other. I told them I expect them to be extremely helpful to each other from here on out. Do you think they got the message? ;)

On The Road Again....
I made a mad dash to the doctors this morning for Mr. Bill.
Last night after school the kids and I were outside playing in the snow. Mr. Bill was having a blast. He tripped a couple of times but jumped right back up and ran again. We came in about 4:30 and he fell asleep. He finally woke at 7:30 and complained that his knee hurt. He wanted me to put a bandaid on it. After about 30 minutes he wouldn't walk on his left foot anymore. I put him to bed about 10.
When he got up this morning he refused to walk at all and if he did take a couple of steps he cried. I called the doc and ran him in. They did x-rays and moved his leg all over the place. He didn't cry or anything. He was actually quite happy. The x-rays came back normal. The doc said just to keep an eye on him. She thinks he pulled a ligament or something else similar. He still won't walk on it yet today. It breaks my heart to watch him limp around the house. It is not helping his potty training efforts either.

Alive and Well
Lil dropped me an email today to let me know she is in fact live and well. She said she just needed some privacy and thus started a new blog where personal info will not be given out. Totally understandable. I am just glad she let me know. Just thought I would share for any of the rest of you who freaked out with me. :)

Heads and Tails
"Mom, can you come here for a second?"
"Sure, what is the matter?" I walk into the bathroom to find Mr. Bill sitting on the toilet.
"My tail hurts."
"It does? Where?"
He points to his tail (aka penis).
"I don't see anything. I am going to have to look okay?"
"Okay." He says very hesitantly.
After closer inspection I see a red spot, possibly a small owie.
"Should we put some medicine on it?"
"Yea. And I need a bandaid too."
"Ummm, I can't put a bandaid on your tail.

Drug of choice
In the middle of a stream of expletives while trying to install a new toilet drain last night, my husband throws down his tools and stomps down the stairs. He goes to the fridge and grabs a Mountain Dew and downs it.
I look at him as if to say, "Feel better now?"
He grins and smashes the can.
At least it is legal.
